The McDonald’s Hot Coffee Case: Ken Wagner, trial lawyer who obtained the famous 2.7 million dollar jury verdict on behalf of a woman burned by hot coffee against McDonald’s is our guest

In this episode, host Rich Lomurro talks to Ken Wagner about one of the most famous and misunderstood cases in American history, the McDonald’s Hot Coffee Case.  The case launched a campaign by big business on the issue of tort reform.  What started as a case about a woman who was severely and permanently injured by a defective product, turned into a national debate on injured people’s right to sue.   Ken takes us inside the case and explains why the jury came back with such a high verdict and clears up the misconceptions and falsities that arose after the case was resolved.
